NoSQL Database Modeling for End-of-Life Vehicle Monitoring System

چکیده
Korea was legally set to car recycling rate to 95% from 2015. Also EU has enacted the law for car recycling. Accordingly, the monitoring system that stores and manages the data generated by the End of Life Vehicle (ELV) are needed. The parts information of the ELV is quite a lot, the information contained sub-components are very many. When building a monitoring system database on an RDBMS, there are some limitations such as constraint of the storage capacity, wasting space, and complex operations. The aim of this paper is to present and implement a NoSQL Database system using MongoDB in order to deal and manage huge data and information. At the end of the paper, we analyze the performance difference between the proposed database system and the existing database system using the statistical analysis.

NoSQL Data Modeling Techniques
NoSQL databases are often compared by various non-functional criteria, such as scalability, performance, and consistency. This aspect of NoSQL is well-studied both in practice and theory because specific non-functional properties are often the main justification for NoSQL usage and fundamental results on distributed systems like the CAP theorem apply well to NoSQL systems. At the same time, NoS...
متن کاملNoSQL Databases and Data Modeling Techniques for a Document-oriented NoSQL Database
NoSQL databases are an important component of Big Data for storing and retrieving large volumes of data. Traditional Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) use the ACID theorem for data consistency, whereas NoSQL Databases use a non-transactional approach called BASE. RDBMS scale vertically and NoSQL Databases can scale both horizontally (sharding) and vertically. Four types of NoSQL da...
متن کاملGeohashed Spatial Index Method for a Location-Aware WBAN Data Monitoring System Based on NoSQL
The exceptional development of electronic device technology, the miniaturization of mobile devices, and the development of telecommunication technology has made it possible to monitor human biometric data anywhere and anytime by using different types of wearable or embedded sensors. In daily life, mobile devices can collect wireless body area network (WBAN) data, and the co-collected location d...
متن کاملImproving Kieker′s Scalability by Employing Linked Read- Optimized and Write-Optimized NoSQL Storage
Kieker’s monitoring output can be persistently saved into logs by utilizing relational databases or file systems. Currently, there is no support for noSQL storage. As part of our Regression Benchmarking Execution Environment (RBEE) we introduce a selfcontained system offering noSQL storage capabilities and acting as gateway between Kieker and RBEE. We show, how polyglot persistence can increase...
متن کاملCan the Elephants Handle the NoSQL Onslaught?
In this new era of “big data”, traditional DBMSs are under attack from two sides. At one end of the spectrum, the use of document store NoSQL systems (e.g. MongoDB) threatens to move modern Web 2.0 applications away from traditional RDBMSs. At the other end of the spectrum, big data DSS analytics that used to be the domain of parallel RDBMSs is now under attack by another class of NoSQL data an...
